Unfortunately not. We'll make it available as soon as Microsoft releases a stable version and we have its integration available in our control panel.

I think we should see a support for .NET 4.0 this month as microsoft is releasing the final version 12th this month.

Tomorrow is the release of .NET 4.0 and Silverlight 4. Should we expect .NET 4.0 support anytime now?

Absolutely - we'd just be waiting for DNP to provide a release with .NET 4 support and will have our servers updated soon.

That's great !

Some hosting companies are already supporting .NET 4.0 while they use DotNetPanel.

Do u think they are using a .NET 4.0 Beta version of DotNetPanel ?

DNP has .NET 4 RC edition support and we are not risking things. At the moment, we are testing it in lab environment and will make it available in coming week.

Any updates on how the testing is going on and if we can expect .NET 4.0 support this week.

Thanks.

Now that .NET 4.0 is RTM, when should we expect to see it in feature list for shared and VPS? (Some other hosting providers already support it today)

Also, what's the situation for existing shared accounts if they want to upgrade to .NET 4.0 when available as option? (maybe a bit early question)

Sorry for the delay. We are actually cloning our existing servers and testing on these clones to ensure that everything is in order and we do not break anything. Cloning of server requires bare metal restore of entire server on our test machines and thereafter installing .NET 4 & testing it out. This is in final stage of testing - we'll probably be having results by tomorrow evening and we'll thereafter provide with dates of maintenance window for the same.

Once again, sorry for delay in this task.

Thanks for the hard work. It is better to be late and test everything instead of releasing it early and waste your time with bugs here and there.

Please, keep us update in this thread.

Thanks.

Hi

Thanks for your patience. As of 29th April, you guys should have option to select .NET 4 from 'Extensions' tab in DNP. We actually trapped good amount of issues and some of them are already mentioned by other users in DNP forums:

http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/t/7682.aspx
http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/t/7719.aspx
http://forum.dotnetpanel.com/forums/t/7694.aspx

Following this, things were delayed as we wanted to get things right rather than hastily adding new features and ending up in a mess.

Thanks again for your patience and your business is much appreciated.

Regards,
